What is Ultragum used for?
It's a solvent-free, bituminous liquid waterproofing membrane for foundations, basements, flat roofs, and terraces. Ideal for new builds and restoration.

Do I need a primer?
It depends on the substrate. No primer is needed on untreated wood.

Use Grip Primer on:
• Metal surfaces (before applying Ultragum)
• Painted metal (test adhesion first)

• On smooth/dry concrete
• Treated, painted or sealed wood
  

Use Vapostop when:
• The substrate is damp (but not wet)
• To prevent blistering or detachment

• On damp or rough concrete

Use WATstop when:
• The substrate is affected by rising damp

Use SBS-Bond when:
• The substrate is bituminous sheathing

How is it applied?
By brush, roller, or spray gun. Two coats recommended. Can be reinforced with Polites TNT mesh for high-stress areas.

Can it be used in cold weather?
Yes — it remains flexible even in cold weather, making it ideal for Canadian winters.

Is it UV-resistant?
Yes — it withstands prolonged UV exposure without degradation.

Can I use it on wood?
Yes — on dry, stable, untreated wood. On joint-heavy boards, reinforce with a sandwich system (Ultragum + Polites TNT + Ultragum).
