What is Diathonite Thermostep.047 used for?
It's designed for high-performance thermal insulation in floors, ceilings, and energy-efficient buildings. Ideal for new construction and retrofits.

How does it compare to other insulating plasters?
It has an ultra-low thermal conductivity (λ = 0.047 W/mK), making it one of the most thermally efficient plasters in the Diathonite line.

Can it be used on ceilings?
Yes — but apply in layers no thicker than 2.0 cm per layer, with a maximum of 3.0 cm overall.

Do I need a primer?
It depends on the substrate.
Use Aquabond on smooth, non-absorbent surfaces (e.g., concrete, painted walls, plasterboard).
Not needed on absorbent masonry (brick, stone, old plaster).

How is it installed?
By hand trowel or spray machine. We recommend professional installation for large or structural applications.

Is it fire-resistant?
Yes — classified as A1 (non-combustible) under EN 13501-1.

Can I paint over it?
Yes — once cured, it can be painted with mineral or lime-based paints.
