Natural High Insulation Plaster
Diathonite Thermactive.037 stands out as the pinnacle of thermal insulation plasters, combining cutting-edge technology with ecological responsibility. Made entirely from natural materials such as cork, diatomaceous earth, NHL5 natural hydraulic lime, perlite, pumice stone, siliceous fillers, and fibers, this plaster is designed for superior thermal insulation against both cold and heat. Its unique, highly porous composition utilizes air as an insulating medium, enhancing its thermal properties. With an exceptionally low thermal conductivity of 0.037 W/mK, Diathonite Thermactive.037 ensures reliable, long-term protection against environmental elements. It also absorbs and dissipates moisture, helping to maintain optimal indoor temperatures and reduce energy consumption year-round.

What is Diathonite Thermactive.037 used for?
It's designed for ultra-high thermal insulation in residential, commercial, and historic buildings. Ideal for walls, ceilings, and energy-efficient renovations.
How does it compare to other insulating plasters?
It has the lowest thermal conductivity (λ = 0.037 W/mK) in the Diathonite line — making it the most thermally efficient.
How thick should it be applied?
Typically 1.5–4 cm, depending on structural and insulation needs. Can be applied in multiple layers.
Can it be used on exterior walls?
Yes — but it must be protected with a compatible topcoat like Argacem or Decork Design.
Is it suitable for heritage buildings?
Yes — its breathability makes it perfect for historic masonry that needs to "breathe" to prevent damage.
Can I paint over it?
Yes — once cured, it can be painted with mineral or lime-based paints.
Do I need a primer?
It depends on the substrate.
Use Aquabond on smooth, non-absorbent surfaces (e.g., concrete, painted walls, plasterboard).
Not needed on absorbent masonry (brick, stone, old plaster).
How is it installed?
By hand trowel or spray machine. We recommend professional installation for large projects.
Is it fire-resistant?
Yes — classified as A1 (non-combustible) under EN 13501-1.
