Interior & Exterior Walls
Give walls a surface that feels architectural.
Apply over drywall, tile, or concrete. Stiffer mix for vertical surfaces. Interior and exterior rated.
Fireplaces & Range Hoods
A clean mineral finish for focal points that take heat.
Not for direct flame contact — radiant heat only. Applies over metal, drywall, or masonry surrounds.
Tables & Furniture
Refinish furniture or build custom pieces with a seamless surface.
Over wood, metal, or laminate. Not food-safe — use placemats on dining tables. Allow 5–7 days full cure before use.

Substrate Guide
Substrate Compatibility
What the system needs on each substrate type — prep, additional products, and what to watch for.
Prep Required
Clean, degrease, repair cracks and voids. Lightly grind glossy surfaces.
Additional Products
Key Notes
WATstop at 1 kg/m² is the vapour barrier on bare concrete — not Grip Primer. Apply Decorkrete within 24–48 hrs of WATstop curing.
Prep Required
Moisture test required. No standing or pooling water.
Additional Products
Key Notes
WATstop replaces Grip Primer. Pot life 2 hrs — plan crew size accordingly. Apply Decorkrete within 48 hrs of final WATstop coat.
Prep Required
Clean, degrease. All tiles must be firmly bonded — replace any hollow tiles before proceeding.
Additional Products
Key Notes
Fill grout lines deeper than 3mm with Ardex X5 first. Safety Joint Roll at corners and junctions, embedded in the first WATstop coat.
Prep Required
Must be moisture-resistant (greenboard) for standard applications. Use cement board for wet areas.
Key Notes
Standard drywall not suitable for showers or sustained moisture. Tape and mud all joints prior to priming.
Prep Required
Sand, clean, prime. All panel seams must be tight with no movement between sheets.
Additional Products
Key Notes
Tape board seams with Ardex SK Mesh embedded in Ardex X5 and cure 24 h before waterproofing. Safety Joint Roll at corners and junctions in the first WATstop coat. Allow for seasonal movement on large areas.
Prep Required
Clean and prime. Fill screw holes flush. Tape and bed all seams.
Additional Products
Key Notes
Excellent substrate for wet areas. Correct fastener spacing per manufacturer specification required.

FAQ
Contractor Questions
The questions we hear most from trade accounts and new applicators.
Eco-Tech provides a 7-year warranty when products are applied according to specification. Proper substrate preparation and correct product sequencing are required for warranty coverage. Contact us for full warranty documentation.
New trade accounts start on payment-in-full terms. Extended terms are reviewed individually as your account history builds — ask when you apply.
Contact our technical team directly. We'll help diagnose the issue, determine cause, and recommend a correction path. Common issues are typically substrate preparation or coat timing. Trade accounts get priority response — we're invested in your success on every project.
Yes. The Decorkrete Certified Applicator (DCA) program covers full system application, substrate preparation, troubleshooting, and custom effects. Tier 1 is an online course. Tier 2 is hands-on mentored certification. The program is launching soon — see the section above to register your interest.
Most in-stock orders ship within 5 business days. Lead times may vary during peak periods. For large or time-sensitive projects, contact us before ordering so we can confirm availability and coordinate shipping to your schedule.
Yes. Sample sets are available for $10 and include the standard colour range. Custom colour samples are available for an additional charge. Order samples directly from the Color Selection section above, or contact us for trade sample arrangements on larger projects.
The complete Decorkrete system is 2–3mm total. This means no meaningful height change — it applies directly over existing tile, concrete, drywall, and other substrates without affecting door clearances or transitions in most cases.
A standard bathroom or shower project takes 4–5 working days including curing time between coats. Larger commercial projects vary by scope. The system requires patience between coats — rushing dry times is the most common cause of application issues. Plan for 5–7 days before full cure and heavy use.
