Outdoors the waterproofing always gets two coats. Each batch gives you 2 hours of working time, the second coat goes on within 24 hours, and the Decorkrete follows within 24 to 48 hours of the final coat.

The hero product of every microcement system. Two hand-trowelled coats with your choice of colour, and the trowel work gives each surface a pattern of its own.
- 3D201 coat
One coat on the sanded Decorkrete evens out absorption so the sealer goes on smooth.
- 4Aquafloor Eco3 coats
The final protective layer. Three matte coats keep your system looking seamless for years to come, and high-traffic floors can take a fourth.

Sound, clean and drained. Cracks get addressed, the surface gets prepped and the slope that carries water away stays the design's first rule. An outdoor floor is only as good as its drainage; the finish protects the slab, the slope protects the finish.
The stack changes for the exposure, and the weather sets the schedule. Outdoor coats want the dry, mild window the guide spells out, not the hottest afternoon or a night near frost. Tell the System Builder the project is outdoors and the right stack prices itself.
Heavy foot traffic is the design brief for this system. Give it the full cure, 7 days, before the furniture returns, then treat it like any fine exterior surface: feet under heavy planters, a sweep and a rinse as the seasons turn.
Yes, the same seamless logic serves balconies and terraces, where weight and waterproofing already matter more than on grade. Those builds reward a conversation, so run yours through Atlas or a quote request and we will spec it with the structure in mind.
Microcement can be applied to virtually any stable surface including concrete, tile, drywall, plywood, and existing countertops. The surface must be clean, solid, and properly primed. Our Grip Primer ensures excellent adhesion to most substrates.
Yes, when properly sealed with our Aquafloor Eco sealer. This makes it perfect for showers, bathrooms, kitchens, and even swimming pools. The sealer creates an impermeable barrier that protects against water damage.
The complete microcement system is only 2-3mm thick. This means you can apply it over existing surfaces without significantly raising floor heights or affecting door clearances.
While experienced DIYers can achieve good results, microcement application does require skill and attention to detail. We offer training and support for DIY projects. Our System Builder includes everything you need with detailed instructions.
A typical bathroom or small project takes 4-5 days to complete, including proper curing time between coats. Larger projects may take longer. The process includes primer, base coats, finish coats, and sealer - each requiring drying time.
Decorkrete is available in 6 standard colors. Custom color matching is also available for specific project requirements.
