Diathonite Sismactive – Reinforced Structural Mortar
Diathonite Sismactive is an M10 thermal and structural lime-based mortar designed for seismic reinforcement and thermal insulation of masonry buildings. This eco-friendly plaster is composed of cork, clay, diatomaceous powders, and a hydraulic binder, making it ideal for use in CRM (Composite Reinforced Mortar) systems. With excellent compressive strength and low thermal conductivity, Diathonite Sismactive provides effective structural consolidation and improves the energy efficiency of historical and modern buildings. It is perfect for structural reinforcement, fire resistance, and improving the longevity of both internal and external walls.

What is Diathonite Sismactive used for?
It's designed for seismic reinforcement and structural stabilization of masonry walls in historic and existing buildings.
Can it be used in heritage buildings?
Yes — its breathability and compatibility with old masonry make it ideal for restoration and retrofit projects.
How thick should it be applied?
Typically 1.5–3 cm, depending on structural and insulation needs. Can be applied in multiple layers.
Do I need a primer?
It depends on the substrate.
Use Aquabond on smooth, non-absorbent surfaces (e.g., concrete, painted walls, plasterboard).
Not needed on absorbent masonry (brick, stone, old plaster).
How is it installed?
By hand trowel or spray machine. We recommend professional installation for structural applications.
Is it fire-resistant?
Yes — classified as A1 (non-combustible) under EN 13501-1.
Can I paint over it?
Yes — once cured, it can be painted with mineral or lime-based paints. We recommend Decork Design for a seamless, eco-friendly finish.
