Yes, our microcement system is ideal over Schluter waterproofing products.

Where can microcement be applied?

Microcement is extremely flexible and is applied at only 3 mm thickness making it suitable over many substrates. As long as your substrate is secure, free of oils and waxes (thoroughly cleaned) and any large holes are repaired, microcement can be applied over concrete, drywall, Schluter Kerdi products, tile, wood, linoleum and more.

The Decorkrete system is only three steps.

Primer: WATstop (wet areas) or Grip Primer (Dry areas)
Decorkrete Mineral Microcement (2 coats)
Aquafloor Eco Sealant (3 coats)

Application

How to Apply Microcement

Prepare the Surface
Ensure the surface is clean, dry, stable, and free of dust or oils.
Apply Primer
- Use Watstop for wet areas like bathrooms and showers
- Use Grip Primer for dry areas like living space walls and floors
Apply Microcement
Apply two thin coats of microcement using a trowel.
Allow appropriate drying time between coats and sand lightly if needed.
Seal the Surface
Apply Aquafloor Eco sealant in three coats.
The first coat should be diluted with water and acts as a primer.
Allow full curing to ensure maximum water resistance and durability.
