What is Diathonite Deumix+ used for?
It's designed to regulate moisture and prevent salt deposits in solid masonry walls — ideal for basements, historic buildings, and exterior walls with damp issues.

Can it be used on interior walls with rising damp?
Yes — Deumix+ is perfect for interior masonry walls suffering from rising damp or moisture migration.

How does it prevent salt damage?
It manages moisture movement through capillary action, reducing salt buildup and preventing spalling and efflorescence.

How thick should it be applied?
Typically 1.5–2.5 cm, depending on structural and insulation needs. Can be applied in multiple layers.

Do I need a primer for Diathonite?
It depends on the substrate.

Use Aquabond Adhesive Primer on:
• Smooth concrete or plaster
• Painted surfaces
• Cementitious boards (e.g., Durock, HardieBacker)
• Wood, glass, or metal
• Any non-absorbent or low-porosity surface

You do NOT need a primer on:
• Absorbent masonry (brick, stone, rough concrete)
• Existing Diathonite layers
• Properly prepared, porous substrates

Aquabond adds texture and improves adhesion — it’s not required for all applications.

How is it installed?
By hand trowel or spray machine. We recommend professional installation for structural or restoration projects.

Is it fire-resistant?
Yes — classified as A1 (non-combustible) under EN 13501-1.

Can I paint over it?
Yes — once cured, it can be painted with mineral or lime-based paints.
